Poster Session Guidelines

Each poster session will be 2 hours in length.  Authors should be available during one of the two sessions to answer questions, expand on the material and take part in discussions.  The following guidelines have been adopted.

1.  Abstracts scheduled for poster session presentation will be grouped by topic.

2.  Poster sessions will be held on Monday, June 11 and Tuesday, June 12. You will be notified of your session and time via email.  Presenters with odd numbered posters should be at their posters and available for discussion on June 11 and presenters with even numbered posters should be available on June 12.

3.  Posters should be mounted on assigned boards.  Locate your poster number in the meeting program.  Your poster number will be posted on your board prior to set up.

3.  POSTER SIZE:  The total available poster board surface area for each presentation is 4 feet high by 4 feet wide.  Your poster should include a Title (not less than 2.5 cm), Authors, affiliation, Abstract or Summary and Results.

4.  Posters may be printed on a single sheet or in multiple sections.  Charts, drawings and illustrations should be on regular weight paper, not mounted on cardboard. Type should be easily legible at a distance of several feet.  Figure legends are essential and should be short but informative.  You may also find it useful to bring a sketch-paper tablet (9”x12”) and felt marking pens for use during discussions. Please do not write, draw or paste on the poster boards.

5. Availability of hand-out materials and photocopies of the abstract is helpful.
